Blink Parametric and Zurich Insurance in Asia Pacific announced the integration of Blink Parametric’s award-winning real-time flight delay assistance and claims solution with the Zurich Edge Platform as part of their region-wide digital strategy.

Under this collaboration, Zurich offers real-time assistance to eligible policyholders who experience flight delays by providing them with complimentary access to a VIP airport lounge. Moreover, if the lounge cannot be utilised on the day of disruption, the lounge pass will remain valid for six months, to be used at the policyholder’s discretion worldwide. The first market to go live with this Zurich initiative is Singapore.

Speaking of the launch, Sid Mouncey, CEO of Blink Parametric, said, “This is an exciting partnership for us as we strengthen our presence in the region with Zurich Asia Pacific. The Zurich Edge platform is a catalyst for fresh, relevant, digital insurance products and our unique flight disruption solution is a great fit for the platform. Our respective teams achieved a seamless and rapid integration, prioritising the delivery of a superior customer experience for the APAC travel insurance market.”

Blink Parametric is recognised as one of the most innovative and successful providers of travel InsurTech solutions to insurers across the globe. It offers a range of real-time assistance and service choices to travellers impacted by flight disruption events. Blink Parametric travel solutions are fully customisable and designed to deliver operational efficiency on processing high frequency, low value travel insurance claims when the traveller needs immediate real-time claim resolution.

Roopa Malhotra, Head of Customer & Digital for Zurich Asia Pacific commented, “We believe in the power of collaboration to offer our customers smart, relevant, personalised insurance offerings. Blink integrates an effective tech solution to address one of the key claims priorities in travel insurance. We believe a flight delay solution that is instant, adaptable, and value-adding can genuinely enhance how customers experience travel insurance – which is in line with our objective of offering more digitally-enabled services that deliver assistance as and when customers need it.”
