Blink Parametric enters into global agreement with MAWDY, part of the MAPFRE Group
CPP Group’s InsurTech, Blink Parametric, has signed a global agreement with MAWDY, a global insurance, reinsurance and services company and part of the MAPFRE Group.
The agreement provides the structure for MAWDY to deploy Blink’s parametric solutions across its global network. The initial launch with MAWDY will see Blink’s Flight Delay solution being included in a range of travel insurance products in the Irish market. Under this new offering, when an eligible MAWDY Ireland policyholder’s flight is disrupted by more than 3 hours, they get real-time access to one of 1,300+ executive airport lounges worldwide or a cash pay-out alternative. The benefit will be applicable for single trip and annual multi-trip travel insurance customers.
The move reflects an increasing demand for effective real-time travel insurance solutions to support travellers in their time of need when facing flight delays and cancellations.
